Reading suggestions on US History

I'm a History major working on my Bachelors. I want to get a good working idea of what early US history was so can I get some suggestions for books about the differences between the colonies and the founding fathers?

An incomplete list of books on that period and the people involved from someone who majored in history. The books below are not necessarily from my time as a student, however some are.

  • Ratification: The People Debate the Constitution
  • The Quartet: Orchestrating the Second American Revolution
  • Madison's Hand: Revising the Constitutional Convention
  • The Failure of the Founding Fathers
  • A Magnificent Catastrophe: The Tumultuous Election of 1800, America's First Presidential Campaign
  • Inventing a Nation: Washington, Adams, Jefferson
  • Fallen Founder: The Life of Aaron Burr

These are just some books on Colonial, Revolutionary, and the Early American Republic and the people involved. There are many more good ones not on my list.
