Always was curious as to how Goebbels is hardly mentioned to have made any mark upon his field or any others related to it despite his supposed genius.
Massively. Just a few points:
He realised the importance of the image over the substance. Hitler was the first modern politician to dress differently for various stage-managed 'appearances', eg, military uniform among veterans, business attire when at a factory, lederhosen when out in rural Bavaria. Today, most politicians dress up in this way, and their public appearances serve often no purpose other than an excuse to produce an image.
Extending this, he commissioned Triumph of the Will to dramatise the Nuremburg rally, building on this by also commissioning Leni Riefenstahl to make a similarly propaganda-charged movie for the 1936 Berlin Olympics (the first to feature a torch relay). It was Goebbels and the Nazis that were years ahead of their time in realising the propaganda and political dimension to public sports events.
Goebbel's realised the importance of the death of Nazi street brawler Horst Wessel, who was manufactured into a Nazi hero thanks to the propagation of mythology and a popular song.
The above events were crucial in creating Hitler's image in the early days of power, when his authority was certainly there in legal terms, but not morally.
In a more general sense, Goebbels popularised a mythology about German racial origins that owed rather little to fact, and a lot to wishful thinking. This sort of thing remains popular, for example the population in industrial nations will have a sense that their national identity is contained in farming and other 'historical' industries, and politicians are always harping on the need to 'get back' to some sort of better utopian time (such as, perhaps, the 1950s).
Of course, modern politicians are loath to point out that most of their playbook was developed by Hitler's most loyal disciple.
Goebbels was a figure in the development of a cheap radio that could only tune to government stations, got millions to buy into the fraud that was the Volkswagen scheme, and swung the German population behind the war effort after his famous 'Total War' speech given after the Stalingrad disaster. His reports of Hitler's 'revenge weapons' (the V1 and V2) caused Germans, both citizens and leaders, to believe that Hitler could produce a miracle long after the war was effectively lost.
Among Goebbels's most enduring successes are the elements of Nazi propaganda that remain 'fact' to this day, even outside Germany. Hitler did not initiate the Autobahn scheme, and nor was it a very large employer. Far from 'saving' Germany from the Depression, Hitler's regime relied on the most extreme measures to hold the country's economy together, far surpassing the measures taken by other countries. These included printing money ('MEFO' bills), banning transfer of gold or foreign currency and tightly controlling access to these, and seizing assets from unions, Jews, and many non-Nazi organisations. The Nazis schemed to take over Germany's most modern companies, placing compliant managers at the heads of those which showed any resistance. Yet thanks to Goebbel's propaganda, little of this is known today.

Follow up question. Is Goebbels largely responsible for the prevalence of the "Clean Wehrmacht Myth" present in modern day society or was that born out of something else entirely?
