I was never taught that Lincoln owned any slaves, but I have some coworkers that were taught that he did. Are there any sources for this?
Not that I've ever seen. Your coworkers may be thinking of Mary Todd Lincoln's family. They owned people and Lincoln visited the family home at least once, when he would have been waited on by slaves.
