What was the atmosphere of Finland during The Cold War?

by erinhart1989

Hi! I'm a freelance writing living in California and am writing an article for a website. I could use some authoritative sources regarding Finland's general atmosphere during The Cold War. I understand, from my own research, Finland tried to maintain a sense of neutrality in exchange for retaining their independence, which seemed to have a mixed response for citizens and the world community. I understand there was some Soviet interference/meddling with things like the press, politics, etc., etc., that led to some tensions and controversies within the nation. I was wondering if any historians could point me in the direction of an article summing up how Finland was affected by the Cold War.

Also, if anyone has an academic background in history and would be interested in talking to me one-on-one for this article, feel free to private message me your personal e-mail/credentials. An interview with a historian could really help me flesh out the article. Thanks so much!
