In HBO Rome whenever Antony is annoyed with someone he shows it by making them wait for him to finish whatever he was doing before they came to talk to him. Is this in character for the real man?

In the first season he makes Vorenus wait for him to fish his paper work (which I'm fairly sure he hated) before he'd talk to him about rejoining the army. in the second season we won't stop playing a game in which he and cleopatra shoot arrows at slaves dressed as animals so he can hear out an ambassador's plea that he send more grain to rome

Cicero did a real number on Antony's habits in the Philippics. I don't remember the exact locations of all the comments, but we do hear about Antony attending meetings in the forum drunk or hungover, and indeed putting off embassies because he needed a bath and a meal.

Thing is, it's hard to know how much of what Cicero has to say is true, exaggerated, or outright Fake News. Indulging bodily desires is one of the tropes of the tyrant. These stories could be making a rhetorical point about Antony more than truth claims about his personal habits.
