I'm writing a research paper for my history class right now about Daley's conservatism and its relation to the Civil Rights Movement; and I'm just curious as to how Daley is generally viewed by normal, layman Chicago citizens (or if he's still even relevant at all.)

I also saw this video and was fairly surprised -- Daley seemed fairly autocratic and evil to me (my paper is pretty scathing) and it just surprises me that anybody still lauds him (without the threat of losing a job, as it was during his administration.)

Sorry for the rambling post, I'm pretty over tired right now!
