How did Mussolini and WW2 Italians view Jews and other "inferior races"?

by Tendy777

As far as I know, Mussolini never pushed for a pro-White society on the same scale as Hitler, but what was Italy's relationship with racism and the Nazi race doctrine really like? Were Jews and Africans viewed as "subhumans" as in Germany? Did Hitler's pro-Aryan stance spark any conflict amongst the non-Aryan Italians?

I answered a similar question about Mussolini's antisemitism a while ago: I'd say it deals with most of your questions, even if it's more focused on Mussolini's point of view rather than the whole country.

I'll gladly go into further details if you have any follow up questions even if I can't add much as far as the overall Italian relation with the natives in the African colonies.

Also it is to be noted that Italians, in the context of the racial laws, generally framed themselves as Aryan - at least those Italians who supported the racial legislation and the alignment with the Nazi Regime. I'm not sure from your question if you are asking specifically about those Italians who would not be considered Aryans under the racial laws or generally implying that Italians would not be seen as aryans under the German point of view...

Maybe someone can add something on this...
