I was playing a grand strategy game called hearts of iron 4 and Hungary gets the option to send a referendum to Austria to reform Austria Hungary much like the Germans do for the Anschluss. And i was wondering if it were true to real life or not.
Not to my knowledge no. Both Hungary and Austria went their seperate way. It wouldn't have been beneficial for Hungary anyway because it would have had to partially give up its sovereignty.
