National Geographic has teamed up with the Amelia Earhart research group TIGHAR (and some super-cute dogs) in their latest attempt to locate the remains of Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan.
The dogs are border collies from the Institute for Canine Forensics; TIGHAR is the same group that did a sort of dramatic experiment a few years back involving pig carcasses and the coconut crabs of Nikumaroro Atoll.
