What was the average diet of a human before farming was discovered?

Before we had agriculture what was the regular diet for a human. Did they eat tons of mean or was it mostly fruits and veggies?

Unfortunately there is no "regular diet" for humans throughout the vast majority of our history. In the circumpolar world, the diet would have consisted of far more meat and animal products than any other component, although precisely which animal products and meats varied by region. In more temperate climates, it's likely there was a substantial component of roots, fruits, and honey, with the majority of calories still coming from animal products and meats. The tropics are unusual in that many areas have tremendous natural vegetable resources, so many of these might have sustained semi-structured foragers on natural starches and such, possibly even with a minority of calories coming from animals. It's worth noting that this last idea applies mostly to southeast Asia and Central Africa, and where definitive information on the precise character of ancient diets is somewhat lacking to my knowledge for reasons of preservation.
