Was Hungary initially the model for the Chinese economic reforms?

by sanyides

Hungary's new economic mechanism is sometimes compared to China's economic reform, but is there any proof that one influenced the other or was it a purely parallel development?

I have searched online for resources and I have found very little information. Even the resources most related to this topic only have brief mentions, nothing conclusive: https://books.google.es/books?id=FPv_AwAAQBAJ&pg=PR7&dq=china+soviet+Gilbert+Rozman&hl=en&sa=X&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=hungary%20market&f=false

I know family members and friends of a Hungarian Marxist economist/reformist called Tamás Nagy (in Hungarian, Nagy Tamás) (there is also very little information about him online) who was involved in the design of the Hungarian economic reforms, and according to his loved ones, during many years, he was constantly surrounded by Chinese Party members who studied him and his work. While I believe them, I have found nothing online about this. All the information I find about him is related to the Hungarian economic reform, and there is no mention about China.

While I doubt any of your answers will be directly related to this man, any kind of help about the relationship between Hungarian and Chinese reforms will be really welcome!

Thank you in advanced.

Is this referring to the Orbán reforms or gulyás kommunizmus?
