I'm looking for historical photos of Rosemont, IL and I've been scouring the web to no avail. Specifically, I'm trying to find pictures of an intersection (River Rd & Devon Ave) or very close to that intersection, anytime between 1969 and 1980.
I've already spoken with the Department of Buildings, the Department of Marketing, Village Hall, and all surrounding public libraries.
Any info is appreciated!
I've used the following all of which have good search functions:
If you are looking for photos from even a small city look at their public library and any historical societies. Some cities libraries and historical societies might have photos from the surrounding area. Some smaller municipalities like towns and villages have these resources digitized.
In the Chicago metropolitan area: have you done any digging in Chicago newspapers from the time? The Chicago Library seems to have lots of them on microfilm. If there were Rosemont papers, seems likely they'd have them as well.
