Compared to the mythical founding of Rome in 753 BC, how do modern archeologists and historians think the city was first founded?

I doubt there's any legitimate link to Troy right? Is there any contemporary archeological evidence with the early king's of Rome like Numa Pompilius or Romulus himself?
