My apologizes if this has been already discussed. I was trying to recall what exactly Abraham Lincoln wanted to do regarding on how to deal with the South after the Civil War. Were there any specific plans worked out or were there only a general idea? Andrew Johnson implemented his own idea of how to reconcile the South with the Union - how similar and different from Lincoln's plan or intent was Johnson's plan?
