Not sure if this is the best sub for this, but I just found some pins that my grandmother's first husband found while in Europe during WWII. He unfortunately died by stepping on a mine after winning a Bronze Star, and also won a Purple Heart for his service. I found them along with a scrapbook my grandmother kept of cutouts from the Dallas and El Paso papers of every day of US involvement in the war (mostly maps). Thank you for your help!
Here's the pics of the pins (Warning, Swastikas): http://imgur.com/a/3fzYm
From what I could tell (Google Translate) the second pin roughly translates to "For services", but does not specify a time or theater. There is no information on the back of either pin.
