It would be useful to know what Nazi developments you think were particularly innovative or inventive?

I'm more asking about the pre-production and funding for prototyping. Did some scientist have free range? Etc? This isn't a political allies versus axis question at where to look, this is just a "how did these guys do this differently?" To me, we still use V2, the autobahn (note: the idea was invented long before the nazis, yet the nazi's innovated it - or brought it into fruition, etc)
