So question is very obvious has there ever been black Roman senators in Roman Republic? I know there were some in Roman Empire but I'm not sure about Roman Republic. I would also welcome more information about black senators in Roman Empire?

Also another question would be what was the ethnic composition in Roman Senate? Were there any senators that came from very different ethnicities that would surprise us?

Thank you for your answers and sorry for broken English.
