Hello!
I'm working on a project to recreate certain areas of the world for a historical videogame I'm working on my own. How can I get I touch with historians specifically expert in certain areas without having to post each question here? Maybe a discord channel?
I also tried contacting some history museums in those countries but no reply yet.
You do realise you may have to pay people if you want to profit from their expertise, right?
Okay, so specialists tend to be very specialist (think hostage taking in the hundred years war) or theoretical (was there such a thing as social class in England and France before 1300) so without knowing what kind of questions you want to ask it's difficult to judge what would work for you. My gut tells me you probably don't need knowledge which someone has spent 10 years training for. What may work for you is hiring someone with shallow knowledge but good training to investigate on your behalf. Frankly most graduates should be equipped to do this. This probably wouldn't be cheap so creating a series of investigative questions would be your best bet.
Beyond this community I don't think there's a free or wider community than this one. You could try academia.edu, but that is typically a professional social network à la LinkedIn.
