Hello I'm looking for textbook recommendations that cover the tokugawa period up to the 1950s or present. Also looking for a textbook that covers the Pacific theater as well from the both perspectives (US & Japan) or just an overview. Thanks in advance!
Pyles' "the making of modern japan" and Hunter's "the emergence of modern japan, an introductory history since 1853" might serve you well.
