I find the Ottoman occupation of the balkans to be fascinating; particularly from the late 15th - early 19th century. There is plenty of material out there regarding the 19th century revolutions within the Balkans, yet I am looking for something more comprehensive that covers the early centuries of Ottoman rule.
Thanks. Happy Sunday.
Jumping on this question, are there any good books dealing with Skanderbeg's Rebellion?
I personally haven't read it yet as I've still got a long list of early medieval European history to go through but I found this book in the suggested reading material section on this sub.
Hopefully it'll cover some of what you're looking for.
