Did the 20s roar between the coasts?

by the1mane1event

Living in a metropolis on the eastern seaboard, and being influenced by culture like the Great Gatsby, I always associate the Roaring 20s culture (flappers, wild balls, speakeasies, etc...) with basically New York City. I imagine things were different in more rural areas of the country, but I can't find much information on what it would have been like in, say, Milwaukee or Denver.

What do you mean by rural? This is a super interesting topic, but I would assume that places like Chicago and maybe even St. Paul had its fair share of Roaring 20's activities going on with all the organized crime. Maybe somebody can shed more light on the topic!
