I really just want the timeline for the name of WW1
At what point in the war was it finally considered a "World War" ? Was there a more technical term prior to this? European Conflict of 1914?
Was it named a "World War" during the war? Or did they wait till after to give it such a grandiose name?
And then in relation to WW2, at what point did they consider WW2 a big enough conflict to not only call it a "World War" but to also rename The Great War to World War 1?
Was it during? After? What is the history on this?

The First World War was popularly called the "World War" by the time that war ended in 1918. The U.S. State War Department made it official the following year. World War II was called "World War Two" or "the Second World War" just as soon as Hitler invaded Poland in September 1939. The original "World War" gained the "One" shortly after September 1939. It's worth noting that the Great War was not "renamed" World War I. Historians use both names today, and both are correct.
