I have some questions about ancient Rome and the Roman Empire
When people refer to "Caesar" Who are they refering to? Augustus or Julius? Which one was the better leader?
The Romans were fascinating and I dont know how I've never wanted to learn about them. I am really interested now :D
Caesar is a general term. If you want to be specific just use their name followed by Caesar. Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Octavius Caesar. As for who was better, that depends. I'm not too knowledgeable about Augustus, but Julius Caesar expanded the empire a great deal by going on his conquest of Gaul (modern day France and Germany), and by conquering the Saxons in England. Might want to check the Saxon one, not too sure if that was Julius.
