This article http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/archaeologists-decipher-ancient-stone-turkey-invasion-mysterious-sea-people-luwain-hieroglyphic-a7992141.html seems to be saying that these Swiss and Dutch archeologists have found evidence for it. I wondered if those with more familiarity on the subject than I, could comment on it. (Newspaper articles are not exactly reliable when reporting archeological finds, for one thing)
There is plenty to be said on the subject, but I wrote a very lengthy post on this topic in r/history. I am very skeptical of the authenticity of the inscription.
Note that "Sea Peoples" is a blanket term applied to several ethnic groups of diverse origins in the eastern Mediterranean. It has long been known that at least some of these groups, like the Lukka, came from western Anatolia. For more on the Sea Peoples, see the Sea Peoples FAQ.
