[META] A quick thank you to the mods and contributors of this subreddit.

I've been a browser here for a few years now and have found it an invaluable resource for both academics, leisure, and general knowledge. It has enhanced my understanding of the world and how history affects us today, even ancient history. The recent expansions to the Southeast Asia sections of the resources list have proved extremely helpful to my paper on Cultural and Religious exchange via trade between Southeast Asia (particularly Sumatra and Java) and India (particularly the Cholas) for my Indian history class. Not only that, but the posts have maintained a consistent and well informed tone even on divisive or loaded questions. I would like to applaud and sincerely thank the mods and contributors of the subreddit for taking time out of their busy lives to provide an incredibly high quality experience for browsers, guests, and historians alike and hope that in the future I can contribute more directly to the sub when I am further along in my degree. You all have helped inspire me to learn more about history and culture and helped my decide to pursue Folklore and cultural history in addition to my Math. So thank you all very much, you are an inspiration and you make this sub an incredible place to be.

Absolutely agree. I'm a casual browser with a few interests, but it's great to see a really informative, focused sub that's free of cheap gags, supposition and repeated myths. Shame it takes so much work, but the results are valuable.

I Second this. I’ve only been using Reddit for a few months but this is one of my favorite subs due to the quality of the contributors, and the hard work of all the mods sorting through irrelevant comments and linking to old answers. Thanks to everyone for taking the time and effort to make this a great place to learn about all kinds of things I never knew I was interested in.

Thanks all mods and contributors !

Although I find it a bit jarring to see all the comment removed notices everywhere, and to click on a post with 5 comments only to see that there are actually 0 comments (not even deleted ones), I also greatly appreciate this sub. Lots of quality learning to be had here.
