When the Soviet Union fell, were there interviews for elderly people who happened to still be alive from the Russian Revolutions and what their thoughts were on the U.S.S.R.'s rise and fall?

A good resource would be Secondhand Time: The Last of the Soviets by Svetlana Alexievich. It's a book of interviews with different demographics who lived during the USSR. Some who were interviewed lived through the Russian revolutions IIRC.
