Today:

Welcome to this week's instalment of /r/AskHistorians' Sunday Digest (formerly the Day of Reflection). Nobody can read all the questions and answers that are posted here, so in this thread we invite you to share anything you'd like to highlight from the last week - an interesting discussion, an informative answer, an insightful question that was overlooked, or anything else.

/u/sunagainstgold's excellent takedown of the "ergot explains it all" nonsense regarding witches. Injecting Science!^tm into pop history, especially primarily involving women, is the perfect storm for your average amateur historian and this is the most informative response against it I've seen yet

Really enjoyed u/DarthNetflix's answer to my https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/7amr7b/why_did_louisiana_adopt_the_napoleonic_code_it/ (if it's ok to promote my own question)

Would've surely had a taker, but it didn't get any.
