So I've been totally obsessed with the new Assassin's Creed game, and it's got me really interested in learning about BCE Egypt. Can anyone recommend a good start point for ancient/ancient-ish Egyptian history?
The bibliography for ancient Egypt is enormous, but the AskHistorians reading list has a very good selection of books covering different aspects of ancient Egypt.
