Is there any legitimacy to the claim that the ibn Saud royal family, currently ruling Saudi Arabia, is of Jewish ancestry?

I have been doing some reading on the history of the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula and I recently struck a conversation about Wahhabism and the Saudi royal family with an arab friend from Syria. He claims that it is common knowledge that the ibn Saud House has Jewish roots. This sounds like an unbased rumor for propaganda. Is there any truth do this, and if not where did the rumor originate and why?

There are absolutely no evidence nor sources that the Saudi royal family came from a Jewish ancestry. This claim is equivalent of saying President Barack Obama is a Muslim and other ridiculous "birther" claims. The rumors your friend claim most likely comes from opposition groups against the Saudi family, who tries to delegitimize the Saudi family.
