I'm going to direct a play that takes place shortly before the french revolution and need to work on the basic ideas for costume design. While I'm going to take a somewhat stylised approach, I still want to try to stay true to the basic shapes and styles of french fashion at the time and I'm going to need at least a basic understanding. Any tips on where to find information on this would be greatly appreciated!
