I’ve heard that Soviet soldiers had only one rifle for every five or ten men. And the sheer number of soviet military deaths compared to any other nation leads me to believe that, while the one rifle/ten men story may not be 100% true, it has some basis in reality. So how well equipped were Soviet soldiers during the Second World War?
