So when I was a kid I was given a framed picture of my grandpa from WWII. It was published in a book about Canadian military vehicles of WWII with an interview with him, but I don't recall what the book was titled and haven't found anything through my own internet searches.
Any assistance would be appreciated, if it helps his name was Thomas Jeffery and he served in the Canadian Army Algonquin Regiment. I took a picture of the photo with my phone and added a couple other pictures just in case anyone would be kind enough to offer any other additional info about his medals and such.

(also my first time using imgur so let me know if I bunged it up)
Do you have a rough guess as to what year ithe book might have come out?
So, I found this book from 1980. I can't search inside it but here's a link: https://www.biblio.com/book/canadas-fighting-vehicles-europe-1943-45/d/1033072945
Hello there! As your question is related to looking for identification/information regarding medals, our Guide on Military Identification may be of use to you. It provides a number of different resources, including how to request service records from a number of national agencies around the world, as well as graphical aids to assist in deciphering rank, unit, and other forms of badges or insignia. While the users here may still be able to lend you more assistance, hopefully this will provide a good place to start!
