[help] I want to study ancient Chinese military history

by ACNL

I have always been interested in military history and so I have enthusiastically read the campaigns of Hannibal, Caesar, Alexander, Napoleon, Grant, Subotai, Ieyasu, the Crusades, suleiman the magnificent, admiral yi, Nelson, Gustavus, etc. However, I have yet to dive into ancient Chinese military campaigns and battles. I am especially interested in the warring states period of China, aka ancient Chinese military history. Please do not suggest the three kingdoms Era. I have read those books to death.

Can any Chinese historian experts please guide me in which books are best suited for my case? Thank you very much!

I dont know the warring state well but I have sources of other chinese military periods and structures

I gathered some decent sources from other redditors.

China: A History - John Keay

China's Cosmopolitan Empire: The Tang Dynasty - Mark Richard Lewis

Link to original post i picked up the sources from /u/borafan https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/3tjawb/why_does_imperial_china_seem_like_the_only/

Bloggers like dragons armory and great ming military post well researched visuals and primary military sources and treaties for the chinese imperial army. Example include historical social turmoils leading up to major wars, armors, units, use of guns war wagons and rations.

My only source for the warring state military practices come from Sun tzu as he make generalize references to troop movements and unit types. Though he is considered un conventional as he doesn't like set piece battles and prefered to address the larger impact of war on political polities.
