Czar Nicholas and Bloody Sunday

by FnotPH

Where was Czar Nicholas on Bloody Sunday (St. Petersburg, 1905). He wasn’t home when all the protesters were killed, and i’m wondering where he was.

Morozow

Nicholas II. Was in Tsarskoe Selo. Tsarskoye Selo - countryside Tsar residence near St. Petersburg. It's like Versailles.

Lines from his diary:

The heavy day. In St. Petersburg there were serious disturbances due to the desire of workers to reach the Winter Palace. The troops had to shoot in different places of the city, there were many dead and wounded. Lord, how painful and hard! Mom? came to us from the city directly to Church. Breakfast with everyone. I walked with Misha. Mom? we stayed for the night.

And I want to clarify. In the procession of workers involved up to 140,000 people. They were not all killed. Killed several hundred people.
