I'm not a history buff or claim anything like that. I just am curious why we weren't invaded like middle Europe was during this time. I know we have Pearl Harbor as a majoring reasoning to become involved in the situation. I am curious as to why we weren't invaded or why we haven't been considered invaded since, I'd reach as far as saying the civil war, when it comes to actually being invaded and seeing complete towns destroyed by war inflicted damage.
I'm assuming your from the United States? The US was just too far away from the action to be invaded and have foreigners on their land. Japan was fighting in Asia as Germany was fighting in Europe, and they didn't have the resources, equipment or troops needed to successfully land and invade the United States.
Sure, Germany could invade France, Poland ETC and Japan could invade Parts of China and British colonies in Asia, but that was because those places were essentially on their doorstep. Germany could easily send tanks and soldiers onto France and Poland, and Japan could easily land soldiers and tanks on nearby China and nearby islands, but to get soldiers, vehicles, weapons, food ETC all the way to the US would be impossible.
