The name we know a war by today is often very descriptive of what the war was, like the "Thirty Years War" and "the War of Spanish Succession". When does names like this start to be used? Before or just after the peace treaty is signed, or decades later? And is it common for the name to be changed later?
Wars typically go through multiple names at different points. They typically get a more permanent name after the conflict ends, and is named by the victors. The losing sides typically have a different name for the wars.
