Many of my friends from overseas tell me that the allies still would’ve won WWII without U.S. interference. Mainly because the war was already practically over by the time the U.S. became involved. Is their any evidence supporting this?

A lot of my friends, who’re mainly from the U.K. And Australia tell me that WWII would’ve ended in favor of the allies whether the U.S. had interfered or not. My main question is whether this is true? And if so what motivation besides Pearl Harbor sparked American interest in to joining?

It isn't a question that can be answered absolutely one direction or the other as it necessarily requires speculation, but we can evaluate the contributions of the United States vis-a-vis the other powerhouse of the Allies, the Soviet Union, which I have discussed here. Hope that offers some perspective!
