There were apparently Genii even of the Empire and the Emperor along with of natural places, but how did those relate to gods. Were gods just particularly big Genii? Were gods of other people and religions just Genii as well?
Additionally what about nymphs. They existed in Roman mythology (right?) so were they just a certain type of Genii?
Piggybacking off of this question- what kind of place did the numens/numina occupy? Were they what might be referred to as "houshold gods" or did they exist beside bona fide houshold deities, and what would be the difference between the two?
