150to300 yrs ago creationists stopped claiming Usshers flood date because of massive evidence of identical civilizations existed before & after 1491BC.Answers in Genesis say the flood happened in 2348BC, do we know more about the world in 2348BC, than scholars in 1867 knew about the world in 1491BC?
What's your source for Ussher's chronology dating the Flood to 1491 BC? I've never heard that date before, and - while I don't have a copy of Ussher on hand - all the Internet sources describing his work give a Flood date in the 2300's BC.
