I'm a freelance writer working on a piece about the history of modern conveniences, and how people washed clothes/traveled/cleaned themselves/prepared food/etc before all the modern appliances we have today.
I'm looking for a historian who can speak specifically about these processes and tasks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a specific era or region you're interested in? After all, a significant portion of the population today does not have access to indoor plumbing and/or reliable electricity--or even safe drinking water. So narrowing it down to one or a few possibilities would be helpful. ;)
