After a search online, I can find info on Hitler's arrest, but I can't find info on the rest of it, anybody know the story here?
The Nazis were 'persecuted' because they tried to seize power in Bavaria in the 'Beer Hall Putsch' of 1923. They weren't penalised for their political views, they were penalised for being a seditious organisation bent on a coup.
