I'm interested to learn about the history of the region from the Canaan to the Ottoman Empire, and I really think it's a cool, messy and complicated part of history with a lot powers changing hands through the years. I tried searching for sources but it's hard with the current conflict, everything I stumbled upon was opinionated.

So if you can recommend me Book/s covering that area and time that are not politically or religiously motivated, I'd be very thankful.
