Just wondering, seems like that should be par for the course on a subs of this size with active moderation but it's conspicuously missing. Any particular reason there isn't flair denoting what questions have or haven't been answered? I think folks visiting here would really appreciate it.
The mod team has addressed the possibility of answered/unanswered flair multiple times. Here's our recent Rules Roundtable comprehensive explanation, by /u/Georgy_K_Zhukov.
You can search the sub for "unanswered" to read any of the earlier discussions, if you wish, as well.
I understand the baggage that comes with the word "answered," but I just wish there was a tag that said "don't click here yet" so people can tell that that post that says it has 20 replies is actually just 18 deleted comments and two of the moderator berating someone for something that's been deleted. It's incredibly frustrating as a reader to click back-and-forth through a whole page of interesting questions and not find a single one that has gotten a real reply.
In fairness, this has more to do with Reddit showing deleted comments in the comment total on the sub's main page, but if there's nothing to be done about that, a tag would help.
Similarly: if you just want to find questions with answers search reddit.com/r/askhistorians/comments.
It's a nice way to quickly jump to answers and will let to find some more obscure posts.
This is one of the few sticking points that mars this subreddit.
The people in charge are completely unwilling to add a neutral "Responses" tag and dismiss requests for it.
