The Japanese apparently promised to execute all prisoners of war if American forces set foot on the home islands. Did this influence the decision to use atomic bombs instead of an invasion?

No. The plan was always to invade, and, once the bomb was read, to bomb and then invade. There is nothing that I have seen that suggests that either were at all influenced by the fear of Japanese treatment of POWs.
