I've seen pictures of Napoleon with blonde hair, and pictures of him with black hair, both of which were painted while he was alive. Which depiction is accurate? (For two examples, Bonaparte at the Pont d'Arcole shows him as blonde, and The Emperor Napoleon in His Study at the Tuileries shows him as black haired.) Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Funnily enough I have read that his hair was dark reddish-blonde. Maybe he had more blonde hair when he was younger, that is very normal.
