Hello,
looking for great books to read on the depiction from the axis on the normany invasion.
I'm not sure that it could be said to have an Axis point of view, but Steven Zaloga's The Devil's Garden is focused on German preparations and dispositions in the Omaha Beach area and attempts to explain why that beach was so much more difficult to take.
Alternately, Joachim Ludewig's Ruckzug: The German Retreat from France, 1944 is an analysis of the German retreat from Normandy in August and September. I haven't read it yet, but it's been pretty well received.
