Currently making a Gladiator styled game. Part Fantasy part reality. I am currently looking into making it a sort of Gladiator styled game where you fight for fame in the Roman World and Hellenic world. I would really apriciate anything on the Society of Ancient Rome or any books/places where I can seek out more spesific questions such as architecture and historical Events.
The FAQ on ancient Rome will probably help you but you might like the subsections on Roman society and culture, Daily life in the Roman world, The Roman economy and Gladiators and the arena to be especially interesting.
