Can anyone recommend any books about the Dutch resistance during World War II?

I already know a bit about it, but I would like to do some more research.

A couple of worthwhile resources in English are

• Henk Pelser, Henk’s War. A Memoir of the Dutch Underground (1996), which discusses the authors experiences as a member of the Parool resistance group

• MRD Foot, Holland at War Against Hitler: Anglo-Dutch Relations 1940-1945 (2012), a book by a well known British military historian that includes a section on the Dutch resistance

• Carolyne Van Der Meer, Motherlode: A Mosaic of Dutch Wartime Experience (2014), a selection of oral histories.

There is also a really excellent Dutch Resistance Museum in Amsterdam, which I recommend you visit if you are ever in the city – its stress is very much on the everyday nature of the occupation , and commonplace, mass resistance to that, rather than on the grand acts of resistance - blowing up trains, assassinating people - which are more typically associated with the concept of "resistance".

A small virtual exhibition based on the museum's holdings is online here. The museum sells a full colour catalogue of its holdings which is in both Dutch and English:

• Het Verzetsmuseum Amsterdam/The Dutch Resistance Museum (2007)
