I'm guessing there were lots of hard copy reports like Production Weekly but having trouble finding out what they were via Google. Also interested in whether there was some sort of centralized directory. I'm particularly interested in what was going on in the 1970s but any info is good!
There are many trade publications and fan magazines. The one that would contain info on people in the industry it The Film Daily Year Book. There are other magazines that focused on a certain specialty in film, such as projection. While fan magazines contained information on new films, actors and gossip.
