I have a lot of respect for this sub. I love reading the really in depth answers here sometimes but to be honest I don't always like the really long submissions. I would love to hear tldrs from you smart folk, with sources I can explore on my own. Is that something you all would be willing to provide?
Individual users are quite free to provide summaries of answers they post, but we consider it to be quite rude to ask for a tl;dr on a post someone's put a great deal of time and effort into.
If you want short answers about history, subs like r/history, r/askhistory and r/askreddit exist for that. The point of this sub is to provide comprehensive answers for our subscribers.
It's not even about not having the attention span. I just feel like with history I enjoy getting the tldr before I go in depth
